The PRC15 is engineered to support precision calibration of transmitters, sensors, controllers, and other process devices by offering both sourcing and measurement of key signals. It can generate (source) a controlled 0 to 24 mA current output (with a load capability up to 1,000 Ω) and a 0 to 20 V DC voltage output. On the measurement side, it can read currents up to 50 mA and voltages up to 20 V, providing flexibility in testing and validation. Its compact, double-molded housing houses a large, dot-matrix backlit LCD that ensures readability under varying lighting conditions. The PRC15 includes five user-programmable calibration presets for commonly used output values, which streamlines repetitive tasks. For extended operation, the device is powered by a large internal battery bank but can also be operated via an external power adapter when continuous use is needed. It uses banana I/O ports for standard connections, includes accessories such as test leads, alligator clips, universal AC adapter, batteries, and a durable carrying case to support field work.
