Description 1940s RAF Woollen WWII Blanket With Aeroplanes, Victory Design. Museum quality 1940s woollen RAF blanket/wall hanging in pale blue felted wool, with cotton woven tape bound edges. Never seen one like this. and can’t find any reference for it. 54″ x 60″ Astonishing design of bombs, planes, propellers plus RAF wings with the Victory V symbol. Clean and bright from smoke free home. One teeeeny hole and a couple of places near the edge where it has some hand stitching on it – may be from label which has been removed. The cotton taped edged has faded and was black originally. Worthy of framing or exhibiting in museum. Has been stored carefully for years. Weight 1.3k.
