A nice light and flexible hood for cool to warm diving. Provides excellent sun protectionOn a recent dive trip to the Cayman Islands I was diving in a 2.5 mm wetsuit.I am “ Follicly challenged”. And what little hair I have left I shave off. I thought I was taking all the necessary precautions to avoid sunburn. But by the third day the top of my head was cooked. I realized it was the result of hanging out in the 3 to 5 m range for my safety stops. Sunlight refracting in the clear Caribbean water was Burning up my bald head.A fellow diver in my boat who had long hair had this hood… he wore it to help keep his hair from getting knotted up during the dive.He had a spare hood and let me borrow it for the remainder of the week. It was just what I needed. It is light and very flexible… Very stretchy and easy to pull over my head. I never felt too warm and I managed to go the rest of the week without getting burned.If you’re looking for some additional sun protection or even just a little something extra to keep your head from getting chilled while diving or snorkeling this is a terrific Hood that fits well and is very comfortable and breathable.
