I take Pilates instruction in Oklahoma City locally and we use the ring in our workouts in class. I wanted to have a ring at home to do my own exercises. It is very good for therapeutic work too. You will need a video of some sort to show you the different exercises if you are not familiar with them from class or private lessons. There are few different rings and prices. The lesser expensive ones seem to be a little more lightweight and I recommend one like this. It is more inline with what the instructors use.
