The stunning, stylish, & modern Teak Nara Bench. The design is based on a Japanese torii gate, which in the Shinto religion is a symbol of life, growth, vitality, protection, and renewal. Torii gates are most commonly found at the entrance to Shinto shrines, where they symbolically mark the transition from the mundane to the sacred. This bench is 180cm or approx 6ft in length. All of our Teak comes from ecologically managed plantations in Indonesia, which are supported by government approved certificates. A programme of continuous replanting is maintained, ensuring the forests are sustainable and protected. Our Teak furniture has been seasoned, kiln dried and then finely sanded to give a very smooth appearance.
